Dan Maraya Jos (born Daniel Garba Gizo) is a legendary Hausa musician from Plateau State known for his mastery of the Kuntigi (one-stringed lute) and his poetic Hausa compositions. He has been a cultural ambassador for Hausa music and storytelling since the 1970s, and his work documenting Northern Nigerian history and culture through song has earned him national honors. He is considered one of Nigeria's greatest oral historians.
