Chocolate City is a pioneering Nigerian record label and music collective founded in Abuja in 2005. It became the foremost hip-hop label in Nigeria, launching and developing the careers of M.I. Abaga, Ice Prince, Jesse Jagz, Blaqbonez, and others. Chocolate City redefined Nigerian hip-hop in the 2000s and remains one of the most important independent labels in African music history.
