Lojay, born Elijah Jamabo in Lagos State, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter who made a significant impact on the 2021 Nigerian music landscape with a debut that demonstrated an immediately distinctive artistic sensibility. He released the EP LV N ATTN in 2021 in partnership with Sarz, the acclaimed Nigerian producer, and the project was received with considerable critical enthusiasm for its sophisticated blending of Afrobeats with R&B and dancehall influences. The standout track from the project was Monalisa, which gained enormous traction upon its release and was subsequently selected by Burna Boy for a remix that became one of the most streamed collaborations of the year.
