Biography
Majek Fashek (born Josiah Kalu Majekodunmi, 1963–2020) was a Nigerian reggae-dancehall musician known as 'The Rainmaker.' He rose to international fame with his 1988 album 'Prisoner of Conscience' and the iconic track 'Send Down the Rain.' He performed at Bob Marley's posthumous induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and was embraced by both African and American reggae communities before his death in June 2020.
