Sarkodie (born Michael Owusu Addo) is a Ghanaian rapper widely regarded as one of the greatest MCs on the African continent. Born in Tema, he is known for his rapid-fire delivery and ability to rap across multiple languages including Twi, Pidgin, and English. He has won multiple BET Hip Hop and MTV Africa Music Awards and his 2009 debut album 'Makye' is considered a cornerstone of modern African hip-hop.
