Timi Dakolo (born Timilehin Dakolo) is a Nigerian R&B and soul singer who won the first season of Idols West Africa in 2007. Born in Ghana to Nigerian parents and raised in Port Harcourt, he gained national recognition with his deeply patriotic song 'Great Nation' and established himself as one of Nigeria's foremost romantic vocalists. He has also become a prominent voice on social justice issues in Nigeria.
