Tunde Nightingale was a pioneering Nigerian Jùjú musician who was active from the 1940s through the 1960s. He was one of the important transitional figures in early Jùjú music, helping to develop the genre from its percussion-based roots into a more melodic form. His recordings from the post-war era document an important chapter in the history of Yoruba popular music.
