Biography

Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as K1 De Ultimate, is a Nigerian Fuji music legend who has transformed the genre over four decades. Born in Lagos in 1957, he was a student of Fuji music founder Sikiru Ayinde Barrister and eventually surpassed his teacher in commercial success and public profile. The recipient of multiple chieftaincy titles, he has performed at major events from Lagos to London and remains the most commercially successful Fuji musician of all time.
