Timi Dakolo (born Timilehin Dakolo) is a Nigerian R&B and soul singer who won the first season of Idols West Africa in 2007. Born in Ghana to Nigerian parents and raised in Port Harcourt, he is best known for the deeply patriotic anthem 'Great Nation' and for his powerful romantic ballads. He has also become a prominent activist voice against sexual abuse in Nigerian society.
